Ray Campeau

 

     Born and raised in Butte, Ray earned a bachelor's degree in applied art and a master's degree in art and history at Montana State University.

     Ray spent 33 years as an art teacher at Bozeman High School. He also taught adult classes five nights a week in communities that were 120 miles or less from Bozeman. Along the way, he was awarded the “Montana Art Teacher of the Year, 1962”, the “Governor’s Award for Service to the Arts, 1987”, the “Pacific Region Art Educator of the Year” from the National Art Education Association, 1990, and the “Harold McGrath Award” from the Butte-Silver Bow Chamber of Commerce, 2011.

     Ray paints, belongs to galleries, curates exhibitions for public buildings, teaches and promotes art activities everywhere he can. You can see more of Ray's work on his website.
